SPOTIFY RADAR X RENEÉ RAPP

Spotify came to us with an open-ended brief: RADAR, their program that highlights up-and-coming artists, needed a makeover. It was our job to turn a loose concept into a recognizable, ownable series that could be easily templatized for each installment without feeling stale… and put that plan into motion.


Spotlighting each artist’s personality was at the forefront of this project. We decided to curate unique lists of photographers and creative directors whose vibes meshed well with each artist, and landed on a modular room design that would stand out as architecturally distinct even after being aesthetically customized for each artist. Our templated approach created a backbone to keep things consistent throughout all of the tailor-made design choices.

We put our concept to the test for the first time with Reneé Rapp. After engaging her team to refine the vision, we brought the idea to life with a hand-picked production designer, creating a deep-blue dreamscape for the rising star to perform her single “Talk To Much” and share the tender, insightful, and often hilarious, moments of making her new record.
