SPOTIFY RADAR X THE MARÍAS

We return for our third installment of the Spotify RADAR series, where we worked with The Marías, who performed “Paranoia” in anticipation of their new record “Submarine.” Highlighting the cavernous, subaquatic aesthetic of their new record, we created a blue dreamscape for the band to perform + talk about the process of making the album.

Despite its otherworldly appearance, the set for The Marías’ RADAR performance was built out in Spotify’s Los Angeles studios from an infinitely re-skinnable modular room that we tailor-made for the series. Thoughtfully designed to be an almost blank canvas while maintaining a uniquely identifiable core, the room allows each artist to customize the color, texture, and decor to match the vibe and vision of their performance.
