An editorial for The New York Times’s T Magazine, Fall/Winter 2022, photographed by James Brodribb at Ten Ton Studio with styling by Shibon Kennedy.

The story runs on texture: shearling, shag, long-hair fur, and heavy knit, mostly on a pale seamless where the surface of each piece does the talking. One setup drops the whole frame into red, hat and coat and backdrop at once.

Brodribb shot it in motion, with figures bending, spinning, and throwing their arms wide, so the clothes move instead of hanging still.
