We produced Threads of Celebration for Vogue and Johnnie Walker Blue Label, a holiday film hosted by fashion designer Rahul Mishra, who designed the season’s limited edition Blue Label bottle. From India to New York City, as the title card puts it.
The film opens in Rahul’s studio, where he sketches and talks through the collaboration, then moves to a supper club evening in New York. Chefs Akhil Upad and Aditya Mishra of The Sewing Tin cooked a menu built around Blue Label pairings, and guests gathered at one long table for a night of food, fashion and culture with the bottle at the center.
We shot the dinner in a single day at Maxwell Tribeca, following the chefs from prep through service and staying with the table through the toasts.
